Siemens Circuit Breaker: Surge Protector

Circuit breakers and surge arresters limit surge voltage by conducting large surge currents safely to ground. While the voltage of these surges may be high enough to damage you equipment, the associated current is very low. And since circuit breakers protect against overcurrent not overvltage, surge protection is needed. Two types of surge protection are point-of-entry and point-of-use.
